AI Action Summit Conference: AI, Science, and Society by IP Paris
Chaired by Professor Michael Jordan (UC Berkeley/Inria) and Professor Eric Moulines (École Polytechnique - IP Paris), the conference will serve as a prelude to the AI Action Summit scheduled for February 10-11, 2025, in Paris. The event will bring together researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to exchange ideas, present groundbreaking research, and address challenges in AI across fields such as biology, physics, economics, and ethics.
A Dynamic and Collaborative Program
The conference titled "AI, Science, and Society: Connections, Collectives, and Collaboration," will feature:
- Keynote speeches by internationally renowned experts.
- Thematic discussions on emerging trends and ethical considerations.
- Collaborative sessions showcasing interdisciplinary research initiatives.
The goal is to emphasize the critical role of interdisciplinary partnerships in maximizing AI's potential while ensuring its responsible and equitable integration into society. The conference will be inaugurated by Anne Bouverot, the French President's special envoy for the AI Action Summit. Confirmed speakers include Yan Le Cun (Courant Institute/Meta FAIR), Bernhard Schölkopf (Max Planck Institute, Tübingen), Erik Brynjolfsson (Stanford), Philippe Aghion (Collège de France, London School of Economics and INSEAD), Danielle Allen (Harvard), Asuman Özdağlar (MIT), Stéphane Mallat (Collège de France), Emmanuel Candès (Stanford)... The sessions will delve into topics such as foundation models, generative AI, AI for sustainability, trustworthy AI, and AI’s role in healthcare and education.
